With a combination of blues and ethnic prints , Wanza's Designs  displayed some sample pieces  set for  his up coming  collection for Guyana Fashion Week 2013. Along with a sketch illustrated by the  talent fashion illustrator Clinton Duncan , and a dressed mannequins, Wanza's Designs has brought to the table Afro Couture at its utmost best. It includes a combination of Stretch Taffeta , satin ribbons and ethic prints combining to make masterpieces that represents pages , chapters and even characters of my life. You’re not looking at their dresses to choose your favorite one so you can launch a vicious dress hunt to find one of their exact dresses. You are just looking to get an idea of what is appropriate for that particular pageant. Are they all bright colors or are most of the dresses neutral colors? Are the dresses form fitting? Or are the dresses flowy? Are their pageant dresses on the sexier side or more classic? Big, bold and beautiful color-blocking is high fashion's answer to a Mark Rothko painting. The abstract expressionist's signature "multiform" paintings celebrated contrasting and complementary colors. In fashion, designers are using bright hues taken from the opposite sides of the color wheel to create stunning ensembles. Want proof? Just peek at almost any women's magazine cover, and you're likely to see a current example of the color-blocking trend. But even in the anything-goes world of fashion, where yesterday's must-have, cutting-edge runway styles are dismissed just a few months later, there are some basic rules to help you get the most out of color blocking. The first is to understand the color wheel and how colors match (or, perhaps more importantly, don't match). The silhouette, the curves, the volume of the many dresses I bring to life; along with the many wraps I create, is how I Mwanza Mainza Glenn embrace fashion. Designing, one of my first loves, has been one of the many talents I have displayed since early childhood. Influenced and encouraged mainly by my mother, who sews and has used many of my designs for her customers, I continually persevered in order to enhance my ability as a budding designer. I was further inspired when, at the age of eleven, I used one of my sketches for an art examination and was awarded an excellent grade. I can still remember my art teacher telling me, " that was very creative, and don't ever stop doing it." In 2009 I sent an application to be a participant in Facts Three (3) and it was accepted.
